Designed by RMA Architects, our Ecomin
300 system was the perfect choice given its
excellent weathering and durability, plus its
high fire resistance.
Our external wall insulation was specified for this private
apartment block development by St James Homes, which is
situated in Lewisham, east London. It has been designed by
RMA Architects and consists of around 120 apartments over six
floors.
It was the first time our Ecomin 300 system had been used by
the client, but it enabled them to achieve the finish for this new
build development that was required. The fire properties of
this system have been rigorously tested and further tests were
carried out at the BRE in relation to this project. The system
offers a great degree of impact resistance, plus higher levels of
reinforcement and durability. It also offers a high degree of
thermal insulation thanks to its mineral wool core. This helps
residents to keep their energy bills down and improves the
sustainability of the apartments.
The Ecomin 300 system
ensures increased fire
resistance, which is key
to such a development,
as well as assuring
the client of highimpact
resistance and
consistency of finish.
Glass balustrades create a sense of light and openness, while
copper cladding and different render colours add interest
to the building. The rendered brickwork walls are further
enhanced with the use of coloured aluminium panels.
