We utilised our high-tech, hugely efficient external wall insulation on one of the last big contracts carried out under CESP for Charlton Triangle Homes.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Family Mosaic, Charlton Triangle is made up of 53 blocks of flats of varying sizes and styles in Charlton, south-east London. Our external wall system was utilised for this project, with just over 8,000m2 of our Ecomin 300 silicone-based insulated render system used for this huge scheme. During the
build, there were three lorry loads of alsecco materials being delivered each day.
This system was chosen for this project as it incorporates a mineral wool core, which offers increased fire-resistance. This requirement is vital for high-rise tower blocks. The brick-built blocks have been finished with a silicone render topcoat in different colour schemes, complementing each other across the site.
Our Ecomin external wall insulation systems is ideal for this type of project, with multiple types of mid- and high-rise buildings. We worked closely with Mears throughout, assisting with design and
technical support with a constant on-site presence.
We were assigned to this project by lead design consultant, pod llp, and worked alongside Mears. The project was completed in an extremely tight timeframe. Through integrating the Ecomin 300 system, the buildings gained increased high impact resistance, plus excellent weathering and durability.
Our multi-layered Ecomin 300 system incorporates mineral wool insulation, which offers a high level of reinforcement. On an aesthetic level, it can be used in conjunction with a wide variety of finishes, textures and colours for a professional, sleek finish.
